Another Card Trick Block
Just put this block together today for a friend, will quilt it tomorrow. Need to come up with a quilting design tonight. Fabric is Moda "French General". I love all the fabrics in this line. In fact I bought quite a few fat quarters for another quilt.
UFO Magnolia Quilt
This is a UFO......decided that I needed to put it back on the machine and finish it up. I did some frogging in the center block which was crosshatched, didn't like the way it looked and decided it needed some curves.

What I Found At The Auction
These are some of my finds at the auction yesterday. The children books date back to 1813. Some I will keep some will go on the market. The wonderful Victorian Ladies catalog published in Chicago in the 1800s was a great find. Had one other lady bidding against me, she finally gave up when she knew I wouldn't quite bidding. Couldn't pass up the little salt holders, they look great with the china.

Charity Quilt for Breast Cancer
Beloit Memorial Hospital is having a silent auction in June and I was asked if I would quilt a top for them. Sure!! My daughter in law works at the hospital and volunteered us for the quilting project. Sheila has been quilting and piecing now for 2 months and really taken off. Another sleepless quilter on the rise.
How do you like the Jamie Wallin McFlurry????

Marianna's Wedding Quilt
A quick and easy applique wedding quilt for Marianna. Selected two Rose of Sharon applique blocks from EQ6 to make up her quilt. Need to add two more leaves to the center block then sew the blocks together, add the border, Walla finished!. Marianna's favorite color is purple as you can see. Thinking about scolloping the border and come up with a quilting design. Leaning towards some cross hatching, flowers and background fill.

Add A Border
This is another hand project that I'm working on, it is call Add a Border. Add a Border is a quilt challenge that Patsy started at the Rockton Quilt Club. We will add a border to a center block of our own choice for the next 6 months. Each month Patsy will have use draw for a color and give us a border challenge that we must use in our quilt. Interesting!!! What a fun project. I decided to go with a garden theme for my quilt border challenge. OOPS! I forgot the butterfly. Back to the drawing board. I decide to draw my quilt design on each piece as I go along, this way the quilt will be marked and ready to quilt.
The pattern I chose is a Sharon Schamber cresent flower which I have had for a couple of years. There was a DVD that came with the pattern that teaches how to applique. I really like her technic. Here is a photo of my center block, also one of my kids "Sammy".
