BRING IT ON

Willllllll   this morning sitting on the deck having a cup of java an idea hit me.   Grab my sketch book and started laying out the quilt pattern.      I have it!!!     AND    I know how I'm going to quilt it also.....

Look what I got yesterday

 

Linda Taylor ruler.    I like it because it is 12"   can make neat  quilting design

with it.

 

 

Quilted this up today ........    Now to cut it apart and sew it back together......

A Hot Rod For Joey

 

 

 

This was made for my youngest grandson Joey.    It was a Hot Rod  panel that I cut cut apart.  This little guy is crazy about cars.     Won't  he be surprised.......        I have time to get caught up on piecing a few tops while I wait on thread and batting. 

 

 

My Studio

Backing for cross stitch quilt ready to go as soon as the batting gets here, plus thread.   I'm going to use glide on this one.   I want just a little shimmer.....

 

 

                                                             The studio is 16 x 20

 

I'm having shelves made for the thread so they can be organized where I can see all the colors           

 

 

(My)     UFOs from 2007 etc..........

 

 

 

Got up at 4:30 am to work out some designs for the cross stitch.    When I see it in my head I have to draw it out or write in down.

I love it in the late after noon when the sun is on the other side of the house then I can lay out and thumb through my books

This is one of the "DUMB" things I do when I'm in a hurry.    Finished this baby up, drove 25 miles one way to Elly's Quilt Shop for a challenge.....    OOPS!   drove 25 miles back home to make my correction.......

 

It should have looked like this when I went out the door .....lolol

Preparing for Cross Stitch Top

 

 

This baby is loaded on the frame and that is just the center......

 

Making a template for the bottom corners of the quilt top.    The side were put on wrong and the customer does not want to change it.     So I will come up with a design to balance it out.    I'm hoping to  have it finished in a couple of weeks.     

 

Had a visitor today.      Just look at those wings,  you can see the screen through the white areas.  

 

 

Just Beautiful!!

Willllllll,   I went shop hopping the other day and look what I found.    French General Fabric   that will be  made up in to a  throw with matching pillow cases. I'm thinking about making queen quilted shams also.    I need to add some green FQ to this.

 

All most finished,  had to take it off the frame to pick out the side border....  grrrrrrrrr

missed one of the marks.      Will finish this up when I have the cross stitched finished.

Sun Flower Harvest

 

Found this kit in a drawer when I was cleaning the guest room.   Bought this kit before we moved north.    Forgot about it......    Yup!!   I had to stop what I was doing to add the borders and get it on the machine before I start the cross hatch quilt top.   I will really custom and thread paint  this baby.    It is Beautiful and the photos don't do it justice.

 

It is just a panel with a narrow rust inner border and the outer border.

How simple!!
