Pumpkin in the Cabin
Log cabin quilt that I'm working on this week...pieced this top 2 years ago and it is finally going to get quilted before the leaves start turning color. My quilt design will come from mofits within the quilt. The quilt pattern came from the book "Favorite Quilts From Anka's Treasures" author- Heather Mulder Peterson. I opt for a more formal applique then what is showing in the book. Sketch and cut my own flowers for the center, cut leaves from the green batik backing and raw appliqued in the white areas . I will use this as a wall hanging and table cloth at Thanksgiving. (covered with clear plastic to catch the spills)

4th of July Picnic
Getting ready for the 4th of July....here is quilt that I made three years ago....the fabric was called "4th of July Picnic.....it's just one of those quilts you must have....I use the quilt for a picnic table cloth when the family gathers for the 4th. Of coarse I cover with a clear plastic to keep it from Kool aide spills.
Magnolia Finally Finished
My it took me a year to quilt this quilt...lolol Was glad to get it off the LA...this was more of a practice quilt...
two different threads were use because I couldn't remember what color I use the first time, will my thread didn't match but that"s ok....it will be used for a sumer quilt....need to make a pillow to match.

Sample of Aussie Friend Quilts
Here is a little treat for you ..... My Aussie friend Raylene Smith is the most beautiful quilter...she'll be teaching at the Australian Machine Quilting festival in October
www.amqretreat.com.au/ Check out her slide show. She started quilting 2006 unbeliveable quilting . Hoping she will teach over here next year, I'll have a front row seat or volunteer to be her assistant. She has a sense of humor but I think a little shy....Willllll, that's going to change when she meets us here in the states. (these are just samples of Ray's work - selftaught too!)
ENJOY!

My Trip To Dorchester Iowa
Took a trip to Dorcheter, Iowa and look what I found for my patio. Just 3 coats of paint and it looks new again. Will make new seat covers in a sea green stripe. Couldn't resist the table cloth too!! It would make into a beautiful whole cloth, I just can not resist a margin!!!!! This place makes me miss my business that I sold a few years back ....but then reality sets in, then I realize that I have more quilting time, why would I want the stress of working again when I have all this freedom.
